Propel Fitness Journal, Issue 079
Last week I offered a lifter some help.
He’d been hurt for six months.
Tried everything. Nothing worked.
So I sent him a few free resources — no pitch, no catch.
He told me to go f* myself.
Most people wouldn’t do that.
But I’ll tell you what it didn’t do.
It didn’t make me want to give less.
I’m Not Rationing This
A lot of people assume the free stuff is bait.
The free stuff is the point.
I write this every week and give away the actual mechanics because the rehab industry has failed lifters for a long time.
You get hurt.
You get told to stop lifting.
You get handed a band and a clamshell and sent home to wait it out.
I’m trying to change that.
Not for the people who’ll eventually pay me.
For lifters. Full stop.
But You Have To Want It
I can hand you every resource I own.
It does nothing if you’re not ready to use it.
That’s not a shot at the guy who told me off.
Six months of failed treatment does something to a person.
It makes you defensive. It makes you tired. It makes you suspicious of anyone claiming they can help.
I get it.
But readiness is its own variable.
No plan works on someone who’s already decided nothing will.
The Door Stays Open
I’m going to keep giving it away.
Every week. To anyone who wants it.
Because the people who reach out are usually the ones who are ready.
And ready is where this starts.
